Watching a video on Hard Edge painting techniques because the best time to learn is when you have absolutely no art supplies on hand to practice along. Of course I am going to watch this at home all over again because a lot of the student projects he showed made my brain go *ping!* but didn't yet give me ideas for my own stuff. I've had fun making representational paintings but my heart is in abstract expressionism and hard edge and I want to finally make something that bridges that gap between form/color and emotion by bypassing thought. And also just, I'm never going to own a Sonia Delaunay painting so I better learn to roll my own.
