Too stupid for LEGO? I can't imagine. I think #LEGO Mindstorm NXT or EV3 would be just the thing for you. I've read that you can also program it with Java or Python.

I've never seen anything like that before. But it looks interesting.
You could probably build that out of Lego too. Although, it must have been more difficult in this version if you have to manufacture all the parts yourself.
But I also don't know anyone who shuffles cards in that way.

You could buy a pick and place delta #robot or try to build one out of LEGO. It could lay out a pile of #cards on a table and then randomly stack them up again.
Depending on the speed of the robot, this could be done in a few seconds. The robot could also #deal out the cards directly.
If I had the necessary change, I would buy and test it. lol

Simply use smaller cards, then you can also use a small delta robot.
It's also not so bad to have a delta robot. It could also make sandwiches or sort pancakes.
