Today Israel's military attacked a crowd of hundreds of starving Palestinians in Gaza who were waiting for food aid to be delivered, killing over 100 & wounding hundreds more.

Also today, Biden's campaign co-chair, Mitch Landrieu, attacked #ListenToMichigan Democratic voters, telling them in a condescending appearance on NPR that their protest will not impact Biden Admin policy because they have no practical choice but to vote for Biden because #MuslimBan.

I mean, sure, you could take that kind of approach to the 100,000 voters who took time out of their day to convey their deep moral objections to the murder of 12,000 children in Gaza, & the ongoing Israeli siege intended to starve 2.3 million Gazans to death.

But why would you?

It's so insulting & stems from racism. We can do whatever we want to your relatives & fellow Muslims in Gaza: you have no choice but us.

"We're going to...ask them to think about...electing somebody who wants to have a Muslim ban."

It's almost like Biden's advisers are unable to conceive of those 100,000 voters in Michigan as a legitimate bloc whose votes must be earned.

They are facing a serious - deadly, even - foreign policy debate, but clearly think ramping up a game of chicken is a smart response.

Now why could that be?

I don't think this is a serious leadership strategy. I think it is irresponsible & quite terrifying.

You have to be quite sociopathic to think these folks don't care about the actual issues.

You have to simply decide in advance that their voices don't count, & shouldn't count, and that you are not going to listen.

I don't see a lot of people - and definitely NO ONE among the campaign spokesmen - acknowledging that this problem is not truly just a Michigan problem: it's national, but mainly a Georgia, Wisconsin & Arizona problem - all those states had tiny margins.

Gaza is a wedge. There's a *reason* that Netanyahu, who wants to see Trump elected, decided to ignore the warnings about Oct 7, & use it as an opportunity to achieve his ethnic cleansing aims against Palestinians in the Gaza territory (which BTW, he considers to be the rightful domain of his Israeli settler supporters). There's a reason he's making things as brutal as possible & openly flaunting Biden. Biden's making a strategic mistake in blindly offering himself, & our nation, up to Netanyahu.
Biden Needs to Change His Israel Policy Fast

The high “uncommitted” vote in the Michigan primary should worry the president—but there’s something he can do about it.

The Slaughter and Starvation of Gaza Cannot Continue; US Must Suspend Arms to Israel - CIP

As the number of Palestinians killed in Gaza is estimated to have passed 30,000 and dozens were shot by Israeli forces or crushed in the chaos of hundreds of desperate civilians surrounding an aid convoy in Gaza City, President Biden must say ‘enough is enough’ and finally end US support for and complicity in the ongoing carnage in Gaza.

Like, honestly. The #ListenToMichigan former congressman has his priorities straight:

"Our democracy is hanging by a thread. It’s — I’m going to speak Jewishly here, as, you know, it’s not halachically acceptable...as a moral Jewish person, to support people who are undermining our democracy...It’s about taking 100,000s of dollars from..corporate PACs that also are supporting insurrectionist Republicans"

So save your faux-savvy takes about Muslim Bans. AIPAC is on Trump's side, not the Dems'.

"there’s a double deception here...most of this money is not even coming from Democratic, capital D, sources; it’s coming from Republicans, and mostly Republican billionaires, like Paul Singer and Bernie Marcus and the guy who founded WhatsApp, who — all of whom fund right-wing causes, are union busters and so forth. That’s the first part of this deception."
(In the above quotes, he's talking about where his 2022 primary opponent (who isn't Jewish) got her cash: AIPAC & corporate PACs who fund Republicans. Speaker Pelosi, Schumer, Whip Clyburn & Emily's List (run by #LaphonzaButler) sided with AIPAC against him. AIPAC won. His constituents lost.)
