@Chigaze I think it comes down to the keyboard I used to learn typing as a kid - first those Performa keyboards and then those huge, heavy IBM ones - both very clacky and noisy.

I just ordered a new Blackwidow with green clacky keys, so if, on Saturday, you hear CLICKCLICKCLICK just holler at me to slow down

@senanthic

Hmmm. I learned to type on black manual Corona (not even Smith Corona!) typewriter and happily developed excellent muscle memory and strength for quick and accurate typing.

I definitely prefer lighter-touch keyboards and also smaller ones, such as those sized for iPad Mini, for less finger-travelling distance.

YMMV

😀

I also enjoy alternate keyboards.

I'd be happy to promote the Tap2 chorded wrist module except that it runs very hot and only lasts ~3 hours at best, ffs. (The finger-ring version ran for DAYS!)

Most fun typing is on a #brailler, which is also chorded but with three fingers from each hand. Alas, I only have a manual #PerkinsBrailler so haven't had the chance to braille directly to a computer.
