@spinning_bird That's an interesting thought. In theory, anything can work as long as you keep the viewer interested. In practice, however, there are likely to be many concerns. In terms of text boxes, you can keep going in games once you've finished reading the text, but that doesn't translate so easily to movies because people have different reading speeds. Internationalization and accessibility might not be easy to handle either.
@spinning_bird Two formalistic experiments come to my mind spontaneously. A bit game-related, the movie #HardcoreHenry is told entirely from the first-person perspective. However, this gimmick quickly wears thin. Not game-related, but a good experiment: an episode of the TV sitcom #ModernFamily that takes place exclusively on the desktop. That worked really well 😃
