Something about #Vancouver no one talks about. Every TV show takes place here, and you can't focus on the plot because you're too focused on where everything is. "Is that our apartment?" "We drive past that every day!" "That's where we went to the French bakery..."

Watching #Loudermilk now, and it's especially distracting there. We're watching #ResidentAlien and it takes place on #VancouverIsland which isn't Vancouver, but still.

Every DC show is here, and other shows too. Arrgghhh!!!

#TV

And here we go again... I tried to watch #Deadpool this weekend and I kept getting distracted by the location.

"Is that Burrard?"
"Isn't that the gas station we avoid because it gives off bad vibes?"
"I think that's Chinatown?"

#Vancouver

@serge Then again for some shows that is the only point of interest.
@serge Yeah but I still love playing Vancouverspotting. Best game. xD

@serge Have you seen "Vancouver never plays itself"?

I'm surprised the new Law and Order Toronto isn't filmed here.

@ajh

Nope. Will check it out. In Loudermilk, it's supposed to take place in Seattle, and in one scene the main character is deriding Vancouver and says "Vancouver doesn't even look like Vancouver!"

@serge Found another one - The Night Agent 😄

@serge But it's also fun! I've never really had this much in Amsterdam, since mostly things that are supposed to be in Amsterdam are filmed in Amsterdam. And then the only fun is seeing: Hey those two streets don't connect like that!

The first time it happened to me with Vancouver was while I was on vacation here and we were watching The 6th Day and in one of the car chase scenes they passed the mall where we were watching the movie! It was great!

@serge As someone who grew up in Ladysmith, Resident Alien tickles me to watch!!
