@jonpsp people have been saying that for decades. Along with scrapping A levels and adopting baccalaureates instead.
@drajt It was obvious when I was at school that 6 weeks off meant people forgot what they had learned. For some reason, keeping to the Victorian farming calendar seemed important.
@jonpsp There is an argument that longer winter holidays and shorter summer ones would reduce schools' heating bills, a green win!
@jonpsp @junesim63 Reform of the school calendar seems like a good idea but wouldn't it be better to ask teachers?
