BT says that it will not be proactively switching customers with a #HealthcarePendant, who only use landlines, customers with no mobile signal, and customers who have disclosed any additional needs. Customers who fall into any of these categories should contact the telephone operator to ensure their data is up to date, it says.

My landline (and broadband) went down last week. Swiftly fixed. The Openreach Engineer opined that the switchover would not be complete by 2025 or any time resembling that.
So plenty of time for coroner's reports , etc, to have an impact on the rollout.
I strongly suspect that properties for sale or rent may advertise "landline safe" as a key attraction in rural areas. But i wonder if people who come to need a pendant will be forced to move home - just when they need neighbours.
