Hey #FollowerPower !

I just finished the 5th book of #ASongOfIceAndFire #GoT #GameOfThrones with this huuuge cliffhanger before the battle of #Meereen and don't know what to do now.

Before you ask: I loved the books, otherwise how could I have read those thousands of pages đź‘€

@ilumium As far as I've gathered from the vibe on the internet, people have been waiting for the last book(s) for more than a decade.

Do with that information what you wish.

I would actually almost advise to keep this high note in your heart and stay away from the later seasons of the TV show. Because the TV show gets so bad, it will manage to ruin it.

Find whatever head canon you like best and treat it like the end of the story?

@bmaxv @ilumium I second this option. The last seasons of the TV show were awful.
Such a great idea @bmaxv ! I'm a simple-minded #MCU fan, so in my mind here is how #GoT books 6+7 should go [a #SpoilerAlert 🧵]:

#Daenerys flies into the battle of #Meereen and brings decisive victory against the #Yunkai'i. She banishes her king husband & keeps Daario for fun. She then flies West & burns all evil people, so mostly Boltons, Freys and Lannisters (minus #Tyrion and #Jamie I guess?). She also ends the war of #Westeros.

Jamie in the meantime finds #Sansa who kinda likes him. Together they move to #CasterlyRock, paint the castle pink and keep the gates open in love forever. He does most of the cooking. [1/4]

Meanwhile, terrified by his war experience on the #Blackwater and in #Meereen, #Tyrion convinces the #IronBank to stop funding war and instead re-focus its lending on #disarmament, #demobilisation and reintegration of thousands of war-trained but otherwise uneducated knights.

The Bank also becomes a cooperative with thousands of peasants and former slaves as co-owners. [2/4]

#Samwell uses his time in #Oldtown to invent a machine that turns useless steel swords into ploughshares. He publishes the plans under an open hardware license so that every part of the realm can use, study and redistribute it.

He also becomes the best-selling author of “How to slay an Other” with a foreword by #Mance Rayder. [3/4]

#Arya returns to #Westeros to reunite with her mother (can she look human again please?), Bran and Rickon. Together they launch a street food chain for Braavosi specialities and frozen yogurts. Before that, she goes through her kill list.

Final act: #Daenerys flies beyond the Wall, realises that the White Walkers are actually just really cold and lonely, and helps them turn the North into a successful winter sport #ecotourism resort.

The entire realm gets #Arbor wine until Spring comes. [4/4]

Oh here is one more: #Daenerys finds ruling as lone Queen is actually quite boring and sets up local citizens councils instead in view of more decentralised and inclusive policy making.

The dragons become a source of renewable district heating for villages north of the Neck.

[The End]

@ilumium read some Tolkien while you wait
