Listening to #RadioCarolineFlashback and they've got a remastered 2 hour programme from #Laser558 presented by DJ Erin Kelly from 1985.

It really was music radio reinvented at a time when there was a lot of good music around.

#PirateRadio had passed its peak in my opinion, but no one can argue with Laser's influence on British radio.

@MikeFromLFE I first got interested in radio around that time; I agree that with the exception of Laser and Caroline the kind of pirate who wanted to be a less regulated version of an ILR station had had its day; but what was developing in Britain was the specialist music pirates on FM playing dance music genres (which still took inspiration from the offshore stations)
