For the past 3 months since dropping #medaka, I've been trying several different species, and I think I have finally settled on a favorite: #endlers. They have proven to be incredibly hardy, productive, healthy and beautiful. They remind me so much of #wcmm in form of care and ease of breeding in all aspects (except cold hardiness).

As secondary focus, I'll be heavily invested in WCMM for my pond hobby.

@Beiz kept them myself about 10 years ago. Lovely creatures. I’m about to set up a new aquarium, big in size but containing nothing over an inch. For sure there’ll be endlers in it. Great pictures of yours.
@Becksy was seriously considering rainbowfish. the rainbowfish community is such a wonderful place with so much warmth, no overcommercialization, or gruff attitudes, and the fish fulfill nearly all of my priority requirements. but, ultimately, i have grown tired of putting hours of work every day into breeding efforts, and i just don't have the patience to wait years for the fish to be fully mature. so endlers (and wcmm) makes the most sense as a focus species to work with long-term, for now :)
@Beiz @Becksy white clouds are underrated. Colourful and lively. I recall as a teenager going to visit a fish house that had an outside rainwater butt. I was fascinated by the hundreds of white clouds in it. The had spawned and multiplied

@Becksy yeah, I wholly agree! but I also understand why there is little interest in them. it's not like they sparkle in vivid colors. but if there were more people into them perhaps we'd have a lot more options on the market, just like with medaka, another otherwise boring fish in its wild state.

I know a guy who has been working with wcmm for nearly a decade now. bred many different lines, but due to lack of popularity among aquarists, he'd just quit the line to make room for another.
