It might even be true.
But if it is, it's telling on themselves even harder. Yeah, okay, if they were censoring cartoonists for as Mark Hamill put it, speaking truth to power. That would be bad.
But if they were so incompetent not to know how it would be received by the public to fire a cartoonist immediately after releasing a viral cartoon like this...
Well that speak to a level of gross incompetence and disconnect from the public discourse that should be the end of anyone's media careers.
Sadly, the meritocracy is a lie, especially when you control the narrative.

One supposes that for the Washington post, guys like this alleged cartoonist, come in multiple dozens for less than a Canadian dime.
