I find #neologisms especially delicious. You might even say I have a hunger for them.

Is this what people mean when they 'eat their words'? Am I not as truly alone in this as I always thought I was?

So, I'm always a little miffed with lost opportunities for the coming of neologisms.

I see this quite often with new paradigms that emerge organically from older currents with some similarity, or when the misinterpretation of a thing is gradually formalised (by the wisdom of the crowd) into a whole new thing (with only trace amounts of the source-thing and the inversion).

A particularly distinct instances of this is in the emergence of #InternetAesthetics and its cannibalisation of #aesthetics

Don't get me wrong, I love #InternetAesthetics and their ability to speak to something so shared and so personal at the same time; so alien and yet so familiar

So its all the more frustrating that something that has spawned so many neologistic children refuses to adopt this key characteristic of its brood

( Although, that's kind of fitting in a sense; a succinct reflection of the #StateOfTheWorld and all that )

Still, a lost opportunity for neologism

What a unique market for the current stream of culture; what an absolute trait that is, both, embedded in and wholly representative of the #zeitgeist

And no new terminology to capture that shift in perspective? No shiny new handle for a shiney new door (or perception? The travesty! It maketh me the sadesty.

For this reason (and several others rooted in self-indulgence and intellectual heresy), I offer my abilities in service to the cause

You know, just 'cause

With no further ado, I present (drumroll pls): #Aesthemes !

A revolutionary concoction born of the heady mix of 'aesthetics' + 'memes' with hints of 'themes' in its distinct aroma

#Aesthemes : self-consistent strands of artifice; paradigms of perceptive regularity; taxonomical units borne through crowd-sourced coalescence and the collective protraction of gradual relevance

A paragon of the simultaneously supercollective and hyperindividual experience of the #worldwideweb

I know, I know

But hold your applause, there's no need to thank me. It's just what I do
