@caseynewton how do the tech platforms expect they will train their models to be able to deliver news without humans contributing news stories?
@matunos i cannot get a good answer to this!

@caseynewton @dnanian

I’ve heard hype about the Arc browser but somehow missed it is tied into AI, because AI hype is so ubiquitous, pro and con, it’s difficult to notice. Seeing positivity made me think AI was not involved at all

@caseynewton terrific read - thank you. We really need to figure out how to make THIS ecosystem work better & for many more people. meaning AP, Mastodon, Bluesky, and I would include Ghost and RSS
@caseynewton “This post is for subscribers only” is kind of ironic isn’t it?

@caseynewton

I can't understand why people only considers "platforms"

Why don't people consider self hosting ?

Why ?

It's like activism on Facebook

It's idiotic

I can't really understand

@calispera it’s complicated and costs money and the benefits to most people are only abstract
