One of the really fun things about keeping a spreadsheet to track what media you consume is processing that data

My 2024 tracker has been expanded from just capturing the International Tech Film Club watches (2023 was all horror and slashers) to trying to capture most of the stuff I deliberately consume.

This will become a pinned thread with my monthly summaries coz I think it’ll be neat ^^

I decided to expand my tracking system to capture more of my consumption around half way through the month, so there’s a bunch missing from before the 12th. But hey, it’s a start.

I devoured 14 ebooks at a total of 4,472 pages.
There’s two paper books incomplete - one because it’s denser fantasy than I’ve felt like reading, the other for unknown reasons. I just haven’t sat at that end of the sofa 😂

I’ve watched 5 dubiously acquired musicals, most of them this week #NinjaWatches #NinjaReads

The 10 TV series are spread across 7 different titles.

The most time has been spent watching You, with about 20 hours recorded.
The Brothers Sun was devoured the fastest, with a full season in 2 days

Movies have predominantly been heists and horrors, with a solid smattering of weird indie feelings - Army of the Dead, Loop Track, Everything Everywhere All At Once have all made appearances.

Average movie rating of 7.5
Three bear traps
Average joke rating of “OMG so many”

The rating system is almost entirely word based rather than numbers, which yes makes it most subjective but also makes it more likely I’ll actually use it.

The Judgement criteria are based off the horror tracker, but it’s been pretty fun to see what’s kinda universal vs what is just in the horror/slasher universe.

Yes. Lots of them are jokes unto themselves. Shut up.

And yes. Bear traps is its own category now for reasons.
