We start this edition all the way back in 2011, where Ookubo voiced Chinatsu in #YuruYuri. One of the members of the Amusement Club, Chinatsu tends to put up with Kyouko's bullshit while pinning over Yui and having some... interesting thoughts. Still early into Ookubo's career, she does a good job mixing the cuteness of Chinatsu's overall character with the weirder places that her mind can go.
Speaking of cute facades hiding dark characters, Ookubo voiced Urara in 2014's #sabagebu. Chinatsu if even more unhinged, Urara quickly found herself obsessed with getting her Momoka-sama's attention, even (or especially) if that result in pain. Ookubo's performance here is quite similar to her work as Chinatsu, just taken up a few degrees.
Also in 2014, Ookubo voiced Tamako in #barakamon. While more composed than our previous characters, Tamako still had her hidden interests towards manga and boys' love that influenced how she viewed the world.
Jumping all the way to 2022, Ookubo voiced the dragon girl Tania in #BeastTamer. A prideful challenge, Tania eventually found herself in Rein's party, proving herself to be a reliable and friendly companion, even as her feelings deepened for Rein. With over a decade of experience by this point, Ookubo was able to give a strong, empathetic performance for a character who still worked her way through the world in order to help others.
We end this edition with an anime that just completed, last fall's #srankmusume. Here, Ookubo voiced Miriam, a sassy catgirl mage who partied with Ange and traveled with her, intersecting with the different characters of the series along the way. While primarily showing off Miri's more playful personality, Ookubo was still given moments to show off the painful parts of Miriam's past and the ways she was able to keep moving forward.
