That is the closest crop I have of a bumblebee and I didn't have to crop it too much. You have to start with a sharp image to be crop that close, obviously. The nice thing about editing your own photos is that I'm able to bring the blacks and shadows up a smidge on the just the eye so you can see more detail. I love because it because it looks like it just had a wash and blowout with all those lovely gold locks, lol. Truly love bumblebees. They're such gentle behemoths.

Thank you! That's precisely why I started my garden two years ago. It kept me very busy last year so I didn't get to take as many photos in my garden as I would have liked but this year I should be able to spend more time just hanging out and taking photos.
