you can easily remove the glue from the labels, which can't be removed even by dishwashing agents, with just sunflower oil, no isopropyl alcohol needed
I don't know #chemistry very well, but I wish I knew it well enough so things like this were obvious for me — cleaning stuff quickly, safely, and efficiently is the most obvious application
I heard that some compounds aren't solvable in water but in oil, though I have no idea why and what the underlying mechanisms are, and I thought if something is solvable in oil, it should be solvable in alkali as well…
