Nichols visited the set during filming of Jemison's scenes. 1st #StarTrek episode LeVar Burton directed.
Jemison was the science mission specialist on the STS-47 Spacelab J flight, which launched September 12, 1992. While in space, Jemison began each shift by informing Mission Control in Houston "Hailing frequencies open." #mlkday

I was lucky to talk to her briefly at the reception. She is every bit as multi-talented, dynamic and impressive in person as on-screen.
