I'm reminded of that time I think it was Senator Allard came to the research center I worked at at the time to talk to us about "global warming" and argue that it was all hokum. "Why, we exhale carbon dioxide all the time! How can it be a pollutant??"

One of my deepest regrets is that it didn't occur to me at the time to say, "Okay, if you think CO2 is so harmless, let's tie a plastic bag over your head and see how long you feel that way."
