@EricIndiana My father-in-law was a biologist and biochemist.
@chemoelectric Where did he work?

@EricIndiana For the longest time at Rutgers (my alma mater, but I was at the engineering school and he was at the ag school as a cancer biochemistry researcher).

He once was published in "Science", but that was in the mid 1960s on myopathy, while at the Univ of Texas Medical Branch.

@EricIndiana Actually, my grandfather was a pharmacology professor. But My FIL was a research professor, I mean, and up to more recent times.
@chemoelectric My father was a microbiologist at Indiana University & I made those posters for him.

@EricIndiana My father worked for FMC in such exciting things as phosphates and carbonates. :)

I studied electrical engineering and programmed computers. I do not even like chemistry. I am more like my maternal grandfather, who was a trade printer, and who painted with just book education as a hobby. I am good at math (all of it is geometry), and used to make fonts. :)

@chemoelectric Fonts - cool. I was going to make a myopathy joke, maybe, "We used to argue about whether it was myopathy or youropathy."
@EricIndiana I once nearly fainted during an electromyogram. Those are not fun. And I faint easily. Fainting is not bad, though. People are surprised when I say it is pleasant, at least for me.
