Q7. Does Bike Party or a similar thing exist where you are? Have you participated in it? Tell us about it.

We helped with the first Salinas #BikeParty rides and loved them. Photo is from a 2012 SBP ride.
We've also enjoyed some Santa Cruz #BikeParties.
In Sept 2023 we responded to some #MontereyCounty media reports by writing "Rideout or Rude Out? Make your bike party courteous, safer, legal, and fun."
People organizing group social rides may find the 2-pg PDF in that post helpful. https://bikemonterey.org/rideout-or-rude-out-make-your-bike-party-courteous-safer-legal-and-fun.html

A7. we had it tonight! @signaltap brought some kind of cake for some kind of holiday
It's also nice to have an event where you can dance that's outdoors. Plus people are really happy to see us biking around. I love when we go down commerical streets that are busy on a Friday night because we get the best reaction, but we also went by a (stationary) party in the park today that cheered us on
@ascentale @glightly #BikeNite A7: Our local CM seems a lot of party already. Actually, way too much much party for my taste: Too loud, too much music to enjoy the ride. (And I'd never go to their after-party.)
And as I hate to wear suits or to dress up, I surely wouldn't enjoy and hence not take part in any such event as described on that page. The pictures on that page make me shudder.

San Diego has a lot of social rides, and most of them are listed on https://bikingis.fun/ and the associated instagram account. My favorites have been the monthly-ish full-moon bike rides: https://theawarewolfs.com/fmbr/
