I watched for the leads but this BFF to lovers story fell a bit flat. The acting was good, but too much time was spent with the leads doubting & hating themselves.

Best friends live on different floors of the same house & have supported each other through the good & the bad but have remained platonic. Things start to shift just as the FL is put in charge of a dating reality show & calls upon her friend to be a cast member.

Still might be worth a watch for one of the reality show couples. The development of their relationship was so sweet. The 2nd FL's story needed more screen time & more info about her life - she was great. I also enjoyed the lesson at the end about how life is not one happy ending. It's a series of endings, some happy, some not, but we learn & grow from them all.

@whoosh yes, this #kdrama had me screaming in front of the TV. Why won't any of the 2 leads make a move??? Aarrgh it's so frustrating.

And I absolutely loved the character of the ruthless producer.

Sometimes it gets better - see "The Third Charm" so I just hate to give up - I live with hope....

@whoosh @s1m0n4 Not me. My first ever drop was Pasta, way back in 2014 since then I've enjoyed the liberation of dropping. 94 KDramas dropped as of now, a shade under 25% of those started. My drop rate for C Dramas is 51.76%, so K is not doing too bad. 😀

In a little over a year, I've completed 134 dramas (all but 1 Korean).

I have 8 currently going (all but 1 Korean).

I have dropped none, but I have these 8 on hold:

Beautiful Love, Wonderful Life
Café Minamdang
Little Women
The Sound of Magic
The Uncanny Counter
The Untamed
Tomorrow
You Are My Spring

Of these, the only one I think I'll actually drop is "Beautiful Love, Wonderful Life." It is 100 episodes & I think it's all based on a tragedy in eps 1.

The rest I think I will finish at some point.

@whoosh I liked the Sound of Magic. But I’m not sure it gets better from beginning to end - if you didn’t the beginning it might just not be your cup of tea. 🙂

@jcurries @whoosh @ronsboy67 it can be heavy at the beginning. Then the magic takes over and it becomes better imho
The contrast and the traumas remain the foundation of this #kdrama though
