They was so annoyed with windows and every update made it worse.
Then installed Linux and everything worked out of the box.

And in fact I think that if people had to pay for that #Govware and weren't forced to pay a #MicrosoftTax aka. #OEM's margins for a #Preinstall they would not even think about using #Linux instead.
I'd rather help people and migrate their files for a small fee once than exploit #TechIlliterates that bought a dysfunctional crapware on a semiannual basis because Windows constantly breaks shite!
I never had any problem with Windows on a technical level. It's a perfectly fine system. Has its annoyances, but so does any other OS. What made me finally overcome my apathy and switch to Linux was the ever progressing #enshittification.
I didn't say that. I've had plenty. I once spent weeks trying to set up three separate devices to work simultaneously through parallel ports. You whippersnappers won't remember those. But that was not the reason that made me switch. And I've had plenty of technical issues with Linux too.
