I would like to hear from people using screen readers. Do you prefer the hashtags to be intermingled in the body of the message, or separately at the end?

Example of the former:

"I did a #thing and after doing #AnotherThing I was happy"

Example of the latter: this post 😉

Please boost.

#screenReader #voiceOver #hashtag

Hashtags in the body
31.4%
Hashtags at the end
68.6%
Poll ended at .

For anybody interested in the results that didn't vote, the poll ended with:

31% Hastags in the body
69% Hastags at the end

51 people voted

#screenReader #voiceOver #hashtag

@sergi cool, that knowledge means I'll adjust my postings a bit and move hashtags to the end
@sergi I did almost exactly the same poll :) https://fosstodon.org/@stfn/111322705817846753

@sergi The other option I sometimes go with is to start with a hashtag, as a sort of lightweight content warning. For example, "# caturday: My cat did something cute and I'm going to go on and on about it."
@sergi this misses the option, "only want to see the results"
@toolsontech good point. I'm not sure how editing the original post would impact the results (does it reset it?), so I'll post a reply with the results at the end of it.
@sergi not sure either, but I'll watch the thread so I don't change the results.
@sergi 3.) Allow more link-style things than hash tags that are a) less visually intrusive (say, dotted underline like abbr tags) and b) don't necessarily go to the word but to some well-defined target and thus caters for both grammar and overloaded terms.
