@johl I have vague and dusty memories of other technologies like WAIS and Gopher. I did quite like Gopher in a strange geeky sort of fashion. WAIS, not so much.

All at 9600-none-eight-one of course, with a trusty US Robotics Sportster, binging, bonging and squawking at me all night....
