Yes that's a good solution, but I've received a lot of answers now and I think switching instances is a good idea.
They can read the posts even though you block this instance...
You have to make changes to the authorized fetch...or something like that
I am not familiar with such things, but it makes sense to me that it is the most effective if you switch to a server that says NO to threads quite openly.

Beware.
When you #ChangeInstances b/w #Mastodon servers, you will lose *all* your posts and all answers.
You cannot migrate them.

You can save the data, but I haven't found a good way to access them afterwards, yet.

BTW: Twitter archives are also terrible for offline use.

Exactly.
You can't really repost them.
They are lost to the public, even for the Fedi folks, as OFC U need to delete your old handle to be somewhat safe.

Someone suggested to me to create a second account

They won't have stopped at my account and they won't do it anyway. But I thought about starting over on another server, which already has suspended threads at server level. Of course there are many more....

The current account will remain and I will only delete older things as I have far too many posts as I share a lot.
