@peterbrown that has been true since start of devolution, but your relief (and mine) at our #GMfree status in #Scotland may be about to end. Current plans by Westminster government to deregulate new #GeneEdited crops and food will mean that Scottish government will be powerless to prevent their cultivation and sale here, courtesy of the #postBrexit #UK single market Act …a device largely designed to emasculate our devolved powers on a wide front.
