So what are we to make to MacDonalds new branded #coffeeshop going up against the established chains in the #coffee sector?

CosMcs... innocently, it might suggest they're merely dressing up & playing at being #baristas... perhaps a little less innocently, we might wonder what sort of 'cosplay' they are expecting to encourage?

@Lily_and_frog @ChrisMayLA6 Across much of Europe, there are McCafés. It's a separate service counter. They use mostly manual espresso machines. I'm afraid to say, it's actually pretty good.

@ChrisMayLA6 Main takeaway is that the beverages must cost less to make than even French fries. A whole restaurant concept centered on selling cheap things at high profit.

@ChrisMayLA6 In #canada they've actually been a decent coffee option for quite some time, since buying out #TimHortons supply, and broadening their coffee options.

This #CosMc thing seems more directed at Sonic, Shake Shack, and various #boba places that are far off my radar.

Curious to see how it "shakes" out for #McDonalds
