TfNSW opened Rozelle Interchange just over a week ago - one of the most complex underground motorway junctions in the world.

You guessed it - it's created new traffic and been front page news since!

The City of Sydney estimated $45B has been spent on the entire (privatised) motorway project known as Westconnex.

Followed all CASA rules (<250gm, visual line of sight, not near people, above empty park).

@jake hehehe, as much as you tried to follow CASA's RPA rules, I'm sure you broke at least one unintentionally 😆

The one that gets most RPA pilots is the "3NM from a working helipad" 😖

@sortius There is a fair few! The sub-250gm class is excluded from the 5.5km controlled airport rule (though I certainly wouldn’t want to get too close), and 5.5km helipads or uncontrolled airports is “land ASAP” (hence the visual line of sight rule).

@jake hehehe, yeh, I gave up flying because of the restrictions where I live (on short final for Essendon).

Still, the shots do give people the true scale of the stupidity of WestConnex. Imagine what could have been done for PT and active transport with that money
