What's the meaning of FOSS in a few words?

Well, in FOSS, when you find an issue, you can spend time and fix it yourself. Eventually, someone else could be motivated or paid enough to fix it instead of you. Simply, don't assume that anyone else will do if do not act. So, if it is important enough for you, you know the way.

And in the proprietary world? Well, it's easy: you can't.

@gisgeek I'm feeling this a lot now that I'm looking at (using) Mastodon. So promising but still so many things to improve. #MastodonUsability #MastodonDevelopment
@strk As always, good enough means that, really. Unfortunately, no one can patch the universe to make it less painful in his/her own experience.
One has to decide what is more important and concentrate on that until someone can enlarge our life days to 48 hours.😀
