@bghote #DoctorWho is still very much a #BBC property. They have merely partnered with #DisneyPlus to stream the series outside of the UK and Ireland.
The new specials and following series are a co-production of BBC Studios and #BadWolf, a production company founded by ex-Beeb execs who worked with #RussellTDavies on the 2005 relaunch of the show.
#Sony acquired a majority of Bad Wolf in 2021. So save your anti-corporate ire for them.

@mjgardner since I have a subscription there thanks to my worthless Xfinity account, yes. But, I'm sure I could VPN access BBC and watch it from the source if I tried hard enough.
@bghote The cost-cutting #WarnerBrosDiscovery regime that rebranded #Max also unceremoniously canceled new original development in many countries; quietly removed multiple original movies, series, and dozens of catalog episodes without notice (including 200 of the long-running childrens’ show #SesameStreet that originally aired on #PBS—your tax dollars gone); and canceled several nearly-complete movies.
They are no longer a good steward for anything, especially #DoctorWho.
