What are your thoughts on the slightly revised card and menu layout? Some people have said they find it hard to find dishes on the menu and that some kind of common background per-course would help with quicker scoring in A Taste for the King. #cardgame #boardgame #gamedev For a while there have been 3 ways to find a dish on the menu: card art/icon, letter (if symbology is hard for you) and of course the course information, however some people still struggle so I've added 4.5 ways to do it.🧵1/2
On top of the 3 mentioned above, there is now the dish name AND the courses are colour coded with a banner and a coloured ring around each dish. It's difficult when there's so much info to fit on a standard poker sized card. Do you think these additions help? 🧵2/2
I guess a final thought, I could use bigger menu cards but for just 8-16 cards, that would adversely affect the production of the game in terms of cost (box size would increase and only 8-16 cards would be larger). I think the game would be unwieldy and overly expensive if all the cards were larger.
