Simone Giertz invented a whole new type of coat hanger and it might be amazing for small space closets/wardrobes. Also kickstarter to get them produced

Why I spent 3 years working on a coat hanger

@jay_peper I love this. @simonegiertz is a genius and I wish she were active here.
@jay_peper It's so great when people actually show us the process of prototyping and producing something like this! I think it's important that people know the work that goes into inventing.
@jay_peper She has a dormant fedi account at @simonegiertz, maybe she'll return again someday
@jay_peper I bet these become standard in RV's in short order.

I was so sceptical. Wasting time by looking at an inventor who made a new coat hanger???

But the comments made me open the link anyway.

And she did it. She did invent a coat hanger that is handy for many many people.

I love it.

@jay_peper @grammargirl Go watch the “Truckla" intro video on her site or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R35gWBtLCYg That's a hoot!

@jay_peper @grammargirl It'll be a cruel joke to have a closet full of those and when you move out take all the hangers and leave the rods - and the new owner will be like ... WHAT!?
@jay_peper Nice, but that reduces capacity per meter by half as the folded clothing is twice as thick.
@masek it does, but depending on your constraints, that might be the right compromise
@jay_peper Completely agreed, just wanted to point out the price it comes at.
