@stevendbrewer @NorCal_Lynne @Teri_Kanefield You'll excuse my pure unalloyed optimism that it's gonna be a 6-8 point gain that some people have realized the rubber is meeting the road with the far-right and want nothing to do with it.
Hell, that decision was the thing that woke some people up about #QAnonsense. That they were in a cult.
I am not exactly the loudest defender of white women even though i'm half white and a woman. I in fact usually get called some nasty shit by Polite White Society.
I have every faith that looking at how the elections since have shaken out that a lot of white women and even a few cishet abled white dudes are gonna peel off.
Just run an ad about Idaho. When your pregnancy gets too high-risk, one goes to a Catholic hospital in Oregon, where if an abortion is "medically necessary" the Catholic hospital does it with no verification of "necessary."
The Catholic Church has more compassion on abortion than the GOP.
They're so effed.
@stevendbrewer @NorCal_Lynne @Teri_Kanefield Now, does this dismiss running crap candidates? No. Does this dismiss apathy? No.
But when you're winning in football, you look at your opponent and ask "do I run the score up?"
You don't run the score up against a hapless opposing team. Quietly pull the starters. If you keep scoring, it's fair game.
But against a team that roots for genocide? Run it up. Run it the hell up. Big 12 Friday night rivalry game run it up.
And right now, we run it up and tell the mainstream they don't want genocide, only one party wants that. We don't want an abortion ban, we're grown-ass adults who know that's a personal decision not a state's. We can say the majority of Americans still favor gay marriage and they're a small losing bunch of liars and cheats.
Run. It. Up. For the first time in my life this stupid party is way too moderate for me but I know where humanity's bread is buttered.
