Whatever is going badly in your life, just know, it could be worse. Forbes Magazine could feature you on their cover for example.
@selzero is this the financial world's Madden curse?
@ai6yr @selzero The Sports Illustrated curse, but for capitalists
@selzero truly embarrassing! I didn’t see the Elon one! 😂
@selzero who's that guys at bottom left?

@elvisvan

Put on the track "Crash Boom Bang" by Roxette and look up news for WeWork.

@elvisvan @selzero As the image says: Adam Neumann
@elvisvan @selzero wework's boss, from the subheading?
@selzero We need to start taking Forbes for what they really are, a crime detector. Like that machine that was developed to identify pastries by sight but also turned out to identify cancer.
@Magess @selzero well, we've reached the crime-fraud stage of capitalism so yeah, this magazine is literally a rogues' gallery of the near future's biggest criminals

@Magess
Quite logic.

They worship high profits.

High profits usually come from criminal or near criminal enterprises.

If your title page shows usually such persons, you carry on obvious risk that you pick some who are slightly out of the line, on the wrong side. 🤷‍♂️

@selzero

@selzero the 30 under 30 has more Felons than the XXL Freshman Class every time, every year

@NoFlexZone @selzero

This guy says that if you are on the 30 under 30 list and you are not a junior analyst at Credit Suisse who paid a publicist to be there, you'd better make for a non-extradition country right away:

@dogfox @selzero "paid a publicist to get there" is deranged criminal behavior.

@NoFlexZone @selzero

I mean, yes. But sadly doesn't carry any penalties.

@dogfox @selzero when our turn comes. Hope springs eternal til then
@selzero Just goes to show you that most of the people at the top of these rankings are frauds or crooks. That's how you "win" in the United Fakes of Scamerica.
@mrdiamondj @selzero You don't get up there unless you do.
@drwho @selzero And the press falls all over itself to exceptionalize these people. They're borderline complicit.
@selzero
we need the carbon emissions of those nice cover people and their entourage!
something like CO2rbes
@selzero not great judges of character.
@selzero my business is arguably more successful than any of them

@selzero

Makes me wonder if anyone ever DECLINED to be on the #cover of #Forbes.

And if anyone did, were they ever caught up in #scandals afterword?

@selzero @Forbes Forbes summary: if you want success, take illegal risks. After that some billionaires still don't understand why people are so mistrustful toward them...

@Idwthama @Forbes

Impossible to be a billionaire without a crime. Billion is a massive number.

Madden Curse in Football Complete History and Timeline | FanDuel Research

In sports, there are loads of curses. From the Red Sox's curse of the Great Bambino, to the Cubs' Billy Goat curse, to even the Drake curse

FanDuel Research
@selzero ha ha! Reminds me of #tfg who according to Michael Cohen was goosing his net worth at least in part to make the Forbes list. Once he fell off it, he called Forbes “Chinese propaganda outlet “🤪
@selzero It almost like a preemptive wanted poster.
@selzero did Neumann benefit from his being forced outv the most or what
@selzero it's somewhat ironic, isn't it?
@selzero let’s check in on who’s on this month’s cover

@jimray

The Metaverse debacle should have finished him but he is privilege personified

@selzero @jimray
The debacle is ongoing.

No clear exit point without admitting excessive errors.

And we reached the point when people are starting to create better XR headsets optimized for certain workloads at a better price point. Without all that privacy invading data sucking Metaverse BS. (e.g. the immersed visor https://www.visor.com/ ).

So just because dear Mr. Z has not yet burned just means that he has been flying extraordinary high, so his plane can stall for a bit longer.

Visor

@yacc143 @jimray

Right now starting a big XR project using Zucks new headset (hides)

@selzero @jimray MR project?

@yacc143 @jimray

Mixed Reality. (Sometimes called XR)

The new headset passes through the camera input on the front, so we can achieve a sort of AR effect, and we can turn it off to go full VR.

(Edited the original post)

@selzero Forbes True Crime magazine.

@Plumbert @selzero

That would be fantastic! Every issue another greedy billionaire's downfall and eventual imprisonment recorded in detail 👍

@@selzero Oh, the prison bulletin.
@selzero One thing that will never happen to me.
@selzero It's almost like there's no legitimate way to get rich... Criminal, criminal, kicked out of the company which is now failing, and... yeah.

@wolfger

Because there isn't. Free markets are not supposed to allow it. There is supposed to be perfect competition and all that. Supernormal profits are not supposed to be allowed, they are supposed to be considered a market anomaly.

@selzero ....
I think I get what you're saying, but I'm not sure, because "normal is supposed to be an anomaly" is a syntax error.

@wolfger

Supernormal profits means profits that are over and above the market profit margins that all players can achieve. They are gained by things such as market entry rigidity, monopolistic action or oligarchy collusion etc etc.

@selzero OK, got it. "Supernormal", not "super normal".
@selzero Wow, hucksterism is capitalism.
@selzero And Trump so desperately wants to be in this.
Let's give him a cover and see whether a boulder falls on him
@selzero they make you look like you have a really long neck

@pizzapal

We should design the guillotines accordingly

@selzero Forbes is a gop backed screed of misinformation, bias, lies, magamoronity, and absurd "news."
@selzero Neumann walked away with 100s of millions of dollars and no whiff of jail ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@selzero as gullible as Forbes Magazine is, do you think that I could start getting a paycheck from them if I tell them I am THE Mr. Forbes? I could really use that extra money.

@selzero

Has Kim Dotcom ever been on Forbes front page?

I remember articles, praising him. Later, FBI tried to hunt him down.

@selzero Adam Neumann is still a billionaire
