I started paying for a Nebula.tv subscription a few months back as a way to support #JacobGeller, #münecat, #AdamNeely, and other video creators more directly.

As #youtube continues to think I have an ad-blocker enabled, I'm looking to move my video viewing over to Nebula. I just need more suggestions on who to follow.

Who are your favorite Nebula video makers? Jacob Geller is one of my faves.

Nebula
@docpop I’m not on nebula, but I know that legaleagle is over there and I really enjoy his videos.
@docpop nebula is like YouTube on opposite day-no ads, no crappy "content creators" and interesting people putting out some interesting things. It's worth the nickel to pay for it, and it's great to see others like it too. #NebulaTV
@njudah the only thing I miss is search/discovery. As much as I hate to admit it, YouTube's algorithm was great at showing me new creators. I'm honestly having a hard time finding good stuff by surfing through Nebula at the moment. I'm sure there's more good stuff there, but I'm having trouble finding it.

@docpop @njudah for now, the amount of content being posted on the entire platform daily is low enough that I can actually skim it and add what looks interesting to my Watch Later list, and if the producer is something I’m into, I subscribe.

So, for now, I don’t need algorithmic recommendations.

@docpop if you're into urbanist stuff I like city nerd
@docpop PhilosophyTube is great. She has a play she’s done there and has now started posting her philosophy stuff uncensored on Nebula. Her earlier stuff is still on YouTube.
@dadakopf great suggestion, I loved watching her videos on Youtube. This one on "ethical AI" was a real banger. https://nebula.tv/videos/philosophytube-what-ethical-ai-really-means
Philosophy Tube — What Ethical AI Really Means

'Ethical AI' - a thing we can build, or just marketing for tech companies?

@docpop I think Polyphonic is on Nebula and is a really wonderful docuseries on music history…
