> 報道では何か災害があるたびに「温暖化の影響がある」と結ばれることが多い。
> だが影響は量として把握しないと認識を誤る。定量的には温暖化の影響は「ごく僅か」であり、「温暖化のせいではない」と言った方が正確なものばかりだ。

Can this possibility be what they are saying? What am I missing?

I got this Guardian article thanks to following my tag #TaishiSugiyama #杉山大志. It's the same pattern explained in article about #MerchantsOfDoubt
> My recent read/post binge about this was urged by an environmental speech I saw over the weekend. I like the guy, he used to be good, still may be in some areas, but WTF happened with Polar Bears and Coral disproving ClimateScience?

Thinktank linked to tech giant Canon under pressure to remove ‘dangerous’ climate articles

Exclusive: Some Canon Institute for Global Studies posts call the climate crisis ‘fake news’ and compare Greta Thunberg to a communist

Thanks! I missed both articles. That's Heartland Institute size anthropogenic climate change denial. Ugly stuff for sure.
@RunRichRun
My wife heard of a coming ice age from nice local ladies. Some do good organic stuff but are susceptible to scams about amulets that protect them from ElectroMagnetic Waves(電磁波?). I was wondering where the ice age idea was coming from, maybe #TheChillingStars? They guy I heard has a good record of NoNuke, NoDam and other organizing. Sad to see him say Warming isn't a problem and beside we're cooling..

@bsmall2 @RunRichRun @MichaelEMann @andrewdessler @rahmstorf @ZLabe @andrewfreedman It is warming beyond all doubt warming. There is no coming ice age.
@AlaskaWx
But people believe a guy with confidence + talking points. At times it seems like people in Japan assume the USA Republicans are thinking people that care about being rational on masks(in Florida) or Climate(on Earth). NoNukes organizers seem specially susceptible to climate denial. But regular people too ignore their own experience. Maybe it's being immersed in scams, brands in daily life disarms us?

The recent talk of Global Cooling that got me to the CIGS (Canon Global Strategy...) Suit (Taishi Sugiyama) now has me reading grist and trughout articles for _Merchants of Doubt_. #FredSinger writing an appendix for the Acid Rain report sound just like Sugiyama writing a chapter for the IPCC. We must need basic #TheCorporation #RegulatoryCapture education or something.

From tobacco to climate change, ‘merchants of doubt’ undermined the science

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful people can change the world.”— Margaret Mead Because Americans are optimists we tend to see Mead’s observation as upbeat and life-affirming (as it was probably intended). Blinkered by optimism, however, we miss the dark flip side of her observation — that a few fanatics can do immense […]
