1. We #condemn in the strongest possible terms #Hamas & its brutal #terrorist attacks across #Israel.  There is no justification for #terrorism.  We affirm Israel’s #RightToDefend itself against these heinous attacks, in line w/ #InternationalLaw, incl’g #InternationalHumanitarianLaw.

We will work closely w/ptnrs in the region to stress the importance of protecting #civilians, supporting those who are trying to get to #safety or provide #assistance, & facilitating #access to #food, #water, #medical care, & #shelter.  We are concerned by the deteriorating #HumanitarianCrisis in #Gaza.  It is crucial to prevent regional #escalation. We call for the immediate release of all #hostages & emphasize our shared view that a #TwoStateSolution remains the viable path to lasting #peace.

@Nonilex If there were talks a week ago, maybe there would be some chances that some hostages will be released. Now with so many Palestinians murdered, it would hard. The release of hostages maybe a trap. The Hamas may want the IDF to move into Gaza. Ground invasion is extremely difficult inside the concrete jungle after all the bombing. The IDF will learn a hard lesson this time. The Hamas isn't stupid. In fact, the terrorists of the 911 attack were highly intelligent.
