The Royal Society’s programme on the impact of non-pharmaceutical interventions on Covid-19 transmission | Royal Society

The Royal Society has launched a new report investigating the evidence of the impact of non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) on the transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

No worrying absences here.
Will go and read about "Environmental controls" next.

From the report:

A wide variety of NPIs were employed (typically as part of packages). The Royal Society report covered six broad categories used during the pandemic:

Masks and face coverings
Social distancing and 'lockdowns'
Test, trace and isolate
Travel restrictions and controls across international borders
Environmental controls
Communications

A quick scan of the "Environmental controls" article appears to have the authors participating in #MethodologicalPuritanism, where #Covid aerosols are not understood to have similar physical properties to other aerosols. Hence only #SAR2-CoV studies are deemed relevant.

Responses to current and future pandemics need, I think, to be conducted without the serious deficits that Methodological Puritanism induces.
