To understand why Andreessen's "Techno-Optimist" piece is so wretched, go to the "Enemies" list and gape at the things he and his bros want to get rid of.
They include: “Sustainable Development Goals”, “social responsibility”, “trust and safety”, and (among others) “tech ethics”.
Remember, those are what the tech bros despise...

@dangillmor I didn't make it that far through the manifesto. Mind you, I have no problem digging through the Federal Register to find obscure regs, and that's an arcane tome that will drive mad anyone who spends too long in its depths.
But that techbro manifesto was just too much useless irrelevant BS even by those standards.
@dangillmor It's completely f**king insane & evil. And remember, the entire thing is based on the tech-bro billionaire conviction that they are what they are due to merit. They believe they're already supermen - otherwise they wouldn't be billionaires, now would they?
Also, I absolutely guarantee that some of the people on his "patron saints" list would punch his face clear off his grinning skull for implying that they're aligned with this horror show.

This is a good manifesto, but not for what they intended it. Instead it's all the reasons why we need to get rid of tech bros and the death cult of infinite growth.
