Ugh I am in a drama slump. I started watching #StrongGirlNamSoon on NFx yesterday. It will be interesting to see where it goes but there is nothing really grabbing my interest at the moment. And by that I mean a drama that has me on an excited edge as I wait for the next episode. Looking for suggestions for movies and/or dramas. Even if it is an older one that I may have seen before because I am all about a good rewatch.

So folks have an idea of my tastes, I will list a few faves:

#Goblin #MyLoveFromAnotherStar
The 3 Reply series
#ItsOkayToNotBeOkay #OneSpringNight
#FatedToLoveYou
#StrongWomanDoBongSoon #KondaeIntern
#MoonLoversScarletHeartRyeo

@KDramaQn have you seen the cdrama "Lighter & Princess" yet? It is on Viki.

@jillithd

Nope. Rough synopsis.... Is it over 20eps? 😂

@KDramaQn yes, 36 episodes. Here's my non-spoiler review of it after watching the first time: https://tech.lgbt/@jillithd/110097309358648328

#cdrama #LighterAndPrincess final thoughts: Recommended! Wow, I think this was one of my favorite cdramas EVER. Seriously. It is so well done. The acting from being freshmen in college, to seniors in college, to late 20s adults really shows the difference in their hair, clothing, personalities. For 36 episodes, it didn't feel like any of it was filler. Each character was multi-faceted, with no true all-good or all-evil. Great chemistry between the leads. Great storytelling on multiple plot lines of how the naivety and optimism of youth can diverge as success enters the picture. Great discussion of discrimination against people with criminal backgrounds re-entering society. And profitability of sexism? I have a minor quibble with time-line as I think the incident causing the male lead to go to jail was in January but the event that drove him to it was in March? My first opinion of the female lead was meh, but she really shown through the whole series and made me fall in love with her long before the end.

@jillithd

I will put that on my list.

I tend to shy away from any drama, no matter the country, if it is over 20 eps and even more so if there is a high degree of mysticism etc ;) I find that I can get bored. And God only knows how I sat through all 87 episodes of #Ryui'sRoyalLoveInThePalace!

BUT I am open to suggestions.
Most of my dramas are Korean language. But there have been a few that I enjoyed from other countries.

CDrama #LoveSoBeautiful
CDrama #HereToHeart
Taiwanese Drama #RefreshMan
Thailand's recent version of #BoysOverFlowers

@KDramaQn oh, there's no mysticism in this one. It is modern-day.

I really enjoyed F4, too! That was a good time, if a bit yell-y.

@jillithd

They are all a bit yelly including 2018 #MeteorGarden. 😁

I glanced deeper into VIKI and saw 3 CDramas that look of interest. Let me know if you have seen them and your thoughts on the drama.

#TheLoveYouGiveMe
#WrongCarriageRightGroom
#MysteriousLove

@KDramaQn
I've only seen The Love You Give Me and absolutely loved the first half of the series. Then they stretched it out too long, but I feel the first half was worth it.
