100%. I just think it's beyond time for the average person to come to an understanding of what we're dealing with here. Calling them police let's people keep their heads in the sand and pretend that there are some "good ones" hanging out somewhere.

It's a controversial take but I continue building a space for me, mine, and our Comrades to pull together at. I believe that the definition of "safe spaces" will have much more militant overtones in the not terribly distant future

That makes sense, I've seen plenty of folks of that persuasion. When I "went left" years ago it was partially inspired by seeing active, armed individuals, so my different experience of seeing more alarmed folks follows that pretty logically.
