#DiFi's legacy within San Francisco is complicated. She wasn't the queer rights hero that she is now remembered as, just because she was friends with Moscone and tried to keep Harvey Milk from dying. And though some of her policies softened up as she aged, she never went left of center, and she did a lot to help make #SanFrancisco harder for working class people to live in.
