it's 2:46pm as i type this. as i noted before, the system went off here in NYC at 2:19PM EST.
as the phone completely boots up, it goes off.
not only that: whomever coordinated this with #TMobile assumed i do not speak English. i do not have my phone localized to Spanish.
this is not good.
it not only puts some people's lives in danger; but it was coordinated by bigots.

@jf_718 it seems that there was a window of time these alerts were going out. i had no idea that's how they set it up.
fwiw: is your last name latinoamerican or are you on TMobile?
if TMobile set up the alert in Spanish first, now am curious if it was coordinated from Puerto Rico or México.

I got 2 separate alerts and your times seem similar to what I experienced. I too got a Spanish version but I use Google Fi which uses the T-Mobile towers but otherwise different service.
