The house approves an amendment from Marjorie Taylor Green cutting Lloyd Austin's salary to $1

Tubberville continues to block military appointments, hurting America’s security

Rand Paul threatened to shut the government down unless funding to Ukraine is cut

MAGA is purely a Russian special interest group.

@flexghost ……… an “in your face” Russian special interests group. Follow the money ……….
@flexghost Alt text made me snort my breakfast whisky. Kudos.
@goodthinking breakfast whiskey is great because it’s the whiskey before the road soda
@goodthinking @flexghost I hadn’t read the alt text until I saw your comment. Lol.
@flexghost Definitely a dysfunctional majority of delusional dolts determined only on the destruction of democracy under the direction of a wannabe dictator.
@bouriquet that much alliteration is not FDA approved

@flexghost

I always think that photo is a picture of an albino giving birth to a horse's ass.

@rjblaskiewicz it’s literally the manifestation of someone seeing something in the mirror the exact opposite of what everyone else sees.
@flexghost How much of the dark money they receive every term originates in Russia? Is there any barrier to prevent foreign nations such as Russia, China, Iran, etc. from buying US politicians?
@Pandwerp unlimited thanks to the Supreme Court

@flexghost

On the bright side, this should help keep the US out of wars for a bit. And, since every was since WW2 was based on lies, that's a good thing.

Repubs may be fascist idiots, but at least they are (accidentally) keeping our troops out of harm's way right now.

@Jeramee

What a ridiculous take. Wow.

@flexghost

I consider falling for war propaganda to be ridiculous.

Korea, Vietnam, Iraq 1, Afghanistan, Iraq: how many of those wars were sold to American citizens with lies?

Every. Single. One.

Why on earth world anyone think our military-governmental-industrial complex would start telling the truth now?

@Jeramee @flexghost cutting off money and support to Ukraine is sure as shit going to lead to more wars, not fewer.
@takaya @flexghost
This war began because of NATO aggression. So your remedy is not aggression? Way to simp for the military industrial complex.
@Jeramee @flexghost nonsense detected. great straw man comeback six days later. Keep going.

@takaya @flexghost

Straw man?

Wrong. Learn your fallacies.

@takaya @flexghost

Six days later..

1) Been traveling and working.
2) You're not that important.
3) That's a total Karen move, but I'm not your waiter. Throw a tantrum all you want, there's no manager coming to soothe your ruffled feathers.

@flexghost
Cutting salary to be petty?
One thing you do not threaten is another person's livelihood.
@CodeNameBeo time to pull the plug on all their pork, then scrutinize all their donations and tax missteps. There have been zero penalties for the ones we already know about.
@flexghost Dems should introduce a bill to change dress code so MTG cannot dress up as Cruella deVille
@flexghost I can’t remember the name of the game, but you know the game where you’re shown a photo, and then asked to point out what shouldn’t be there… I’m pretty sure that most would point out MTG… I mean WTF, is she going to a party…??
@flexghost Look at me! Look at me, dammit!.
@flexghost
Let's see them go after his pension and how the military reacts to that.

@flexghost

They should be ousted from GOP, this poisonous bunch…

@xs4me2 the GOP is the poisonous bunch

@flexghost

But the MAGA faction is the worst... nutcases...

How for freaks sake will this ever be normalized???

@flexghost It's really hard to grasp how petty this is.

"And we're going to pretend it's NOT because he's black."

@flexghost
The #GOP was always the "Pro-military" party. (Remember the *disgust* they had for "draft dodger" Bill Clinton?)

Then, they elected a draft dodger in 2000, "#SwiftBoat'ed John #Kerry (winner of the Bronze Star for bravery) to re-elect Bush in 2004, went BACK to being pro-military by nominating war hero John #McCain in 2008, nominated *another* draft dodger (Mitt Romney) in 2012, and then #CaptainBoneSpurs (who ridiculed McCain) in 2016.

@flexghost

To Rand Paul:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/craighooper/2022/12/26/ukraine-converts-219-billion-in-us-military-surplus-into-fearsome-force/

A lot of what we are sending is stuff collecting dust. Things like munitions probably would have been used in training exercises. Sending it to Ukraine allows the US to see how our stuff performs in conventional warfare rather than occupation and contingency operations.

To Tuberville, trickle down. I don't doubt good officers are saying fuck it, leaving less competent leadership which in all likelihood is driving out talent of all ranks.

Ukraine Converts $21.9 Billion In U.S. Military Surplus Into Fearsome Force

Doubters want you to believe $21.9 billion in military aid is a lot, when, in fact, it's mostly cast-off gear that the U.S. was already sending to the scrapyard.

Forbes

@chidi_anagonye

EXACTLY

far left crybabies and libertarians need to recognize how big of a win. this is in every single way possible.

@flexghost what a bizarre coat. Is that from the Cruella DeVille collection?
@flexghost Their proper name is The Pro Putin Caucus. We should consistently call them that.
