Almost forgot to make my #NCTMAnnual submission before the deadline! I don't know how common it is to have to submit a year in advance like we do for #NCTM, but it feels a little out of order to be proposing a 2024 session while it's still 3+ weeks before I deliver my 2023 session.

@raymondjohnson indeed! Wish they would make deadline a couple weeks past the conference !

@raymondjohnson NCTM said they wanted to make the submission date the same each year for consistency. I agree that this year feels a bit off, but perhaps that's because this year's conference is a bit later than usual (end of Sept?), perhaps because of the Jewish holidays that vary from year to year.

So I guess it would be great if the deadline were then a bit later, but I guess given the volume of submissions and the number of volunteers they have on the conference committee, they must need enough lead time to notify people by the following spring so they have enough time to plan. I wonder what the lead time is for other large conferences. #MathEd #MTBoS

@Bobsonwong @raymondjohnson Reading about rationalizations for NCTM stuff is always entertaining.
