Don't want to sound like I am a weetbix obsessive, although they have been part of my life for more than sixty years, but this latest controversy has set me to wondering about Sanitarium and their tax free status. Do they use their competitive advantage to pay their employees the living wage or just add to their profits. What would Jesus do?

@dunedinmouse Sanitarium are so big they should never have tax free status. ( unless all their profits are used for charitable purposes) I wonder if they’ve ever had an extensive audit.

@CarolynStirling it's appalling to me that 'promoting religion' can be considered inherently charitable... I think they should never have been given charitable status (nor any other religious 'business' - there're quite a few out there).
