Met Éireann HQ still vibes with the look of an exterior shot from a 1970s BBC TV SciFi series. Now celebrated in the nearby street art. #MetÉireann #ModernIreland #Architecture #IrishArchitecture #AllYesterdaysTomorrows #Glasnevin #StreetArt #Dublin #Northside #Mastodaoine
Can’t for the life of me find a credit online for the Met Éireann street art above. I presume it’s a Dublin Canvas project and it’s Dublin City Council area, specifically Glasnevin. I also presume it’s recent enough as it’s in good nick. If you know the credit, post it to this thread, ta.

Dublin Canvas - Colour in the City

#DublinCanvas is an idea, a project intended to bring flashes of colour and creativity to everyday objects in the City. Less grey, more play.

@MarkMaguire Fond memories of passing it on the way to Tolka house (which sadly seems to have been redesigned for hipsters judging by the internet).
@mark My grand-uncles (or maybe just one of my grand-uncles?) used to own the place in the early ‘70s. My dad was manager when I was very young. A big chunk of my earliest childhood memories are of the pub - 😅 - which sounds like I’m a character in a Pogues’ song.
@MarkMaguire Very nice! Great pub. Great place to go as a student in DCU back in the day and be treated like a civilian! Lovely pints of Guinness brought to your table often.
