Trump said yesterday that when he is President, he will allow shoplifters to be shot on sight.

How about people who are found guilty of real-estate fraud?

@airbagmoments which one is more damaging to the economy πŸ€”?
@airbagmoments Or stealing classified documents?
@airbagmoments
Is he going to ban guns so the shoplifters can’t shoot back? πŸ€”
@airbagmoments Of course not! Real-estate fraud is committed by wealthy people, so it's not a "crime" crime, people doing it just need a gentle slap on the wrist to remind them to be a bit more careful next time.
@airbagmoments it’s always been the belief, among the ruling class, that petty theft should be seen as appalling, while multi-million dollar theft is considered simply ambitious.

@airbagmoments

...or people who steal money from a children's cancer charity?

@airbagmoments Shop owners and shoplifters get different treatment. Similar to drug producers and drug users, or bankers and bank robbers.

@airbagmoments What then should thieves of dozens of boxes with federal, mostly classified intel property expect to be punished with?
Certainly not Trump's low bar of shoplifting punishment!

@airbagmoments not to mention rapists? I suspect more sympathy for those who shot rapists on sight, especially from NRA members than for those who pinch something.
